Lois Maassen has worked as a self-employed strategist and marketer with both nonprofits and for-profit companies in various industries for the last decade. Before that, she had a 29-year career at Herman Miller, with stints in marketing, communications, information technology, and product development.
She’s an active member of Hope Church, in Holland, Michigan, currently serving as a deacon as well as on teams for facility restoration, community engagement, communications, and strategic planning. Lois has served on several nonprofit boards, and her current work includes coaching a nonprofit board in governance and capacity development. She is also a founding member of Women’s Service Day, a community service event by and for women in the Holland/Zeeland community.
Lois and her husband, Chris Wiers, have three adult children in Michigan, Colorado, and North Carolina, and one grandchild.
