Room for All is delighted to announce that our year-long process of prioritizing, interviewing and prayerful listening has culminated in the selection of Cameron Van Kooten to be RfA’s first Community Coordinator! Cameron is rooted in the Reformed Church in America, and is a graduate of Central College in Pella, Iowa, where his multi-faceted studies and experiences included non-profit management and community organizing. He also has demonstrated skills in a variety of communication modes and artistic expressions. Prior to accepting this position, Cameron was the Director of the Lunn Cooperative, a resource center for non-profits in the New York Capital District. He has served RfA as an actively-engaged Board member and a member of the development team, and feels called to furthering our mission both within in the LGBTQ community and in the entire RCA family. Cameron’s start-date is January 12, and we look forward to introducing him (and his responsibilities) more widely at that time. Welcome, Cameron, and thank you, supporters, for the gifts that have made this exciting new chapter possible!
