OUR HEARTS ARE FILLED WITH GRATITUDE AFTER “MAKING ROOM FOR ALL: 2011.” WHAT AN AMAZING, INSPIRING AND HEALING EXPERIENCE!

Thank you to Central Reformed Church staff and volunteers for welcoming us unconditionally and wholeheartedly to their beautiful facility.  They seemed to anticipate our needs before we asked, and communicated in tangible and intangible ways, “In God’s house there is room for all.”  It was, indeed, a sacred and safe space for everyone.

Thank you to the David and Carol Myers Foundation and the E. Rhodes and Leona B. Carpenter Foundation for the generous underwriting that made this conference possible, and to the Myers for their matching funds challenge to help us expand our support base.

Thank you to all the pastors, seminarians, college students and congregation members who came from Canada, Alaska, Michigan, Iowa, Minnesota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey.  Your stories, your wisdom, your songs, laughter and tears filled our hearts and souls with joy and hope for God’s future of inclusion in this church we love.  Echoing the challenge of our closing worship, “Will you use the faith you’ve found to reshape the world around?”

“Do not remember the former things, or consider the things of old.  I am about to do a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?  (Isaiah 43: 18-19a).
