Reverend Jeff Knol is a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he was raised in the Christian Reformed Church. He graduated from Calvin College with a major in History and Religion and received his Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary in 2012. He was ordained as a Minister of Word and Sacrament in the Reformed Church in America in 2013 and has served congregations in Central New Jersey since that time. He currently serves as pastor of Hillsborough Reformed Church in Millstone, New Jersey.
Jeff’s friendships with people who did not fit neatly into traditional expectations of heteronormativity; and with those who felt rejected or unwelcome in their churches; sparked a deeper quest to understand the foundations of Christian beliefs about marriage, sexuality, and gender. Pastor Jeff has a deep love for learning and enjoys thoughtful conversation with others about faith and life.
